App wants to "make and manage phone calls"

Ive just installed my app on a newer android device and it pops up saying "allow app to make and manage phone calls?" - I send SMS in my app but I never make a call, is there some way to get rid of this ? Or is it due to SMS? Seems a bit misleading and broad, I know this is Android behaviour and not CN1 but just wondering what triggers it so I can remove it if possible. I would expect it to say "allow this app to send sms messages" and not mention calls etc.

Using the unique device ID also triggers this warning.  I assume the granularity of the permissions is responsible, and there's nothing codename1 can do to affect which permissions are triggered.

Yes, SMS requires phone permission.

Strange thing is as the app loads it asks for permission to make calls, then later when i use sms it asks for permissions to send SMS. The first thing asking to make calls should not be happening.

Do you have push enabled?
Do you call getDeviceID, IMSI or use a hint trying to get one of them?
