How do I do this themeLayer.put("TextField.fgColor", appColor); but for selected, pressed etc?? is it just TextField.selected.fgColor ?

As such:
TextField.sel#fgColor
TextField.press#fgColor
TextField.dis#fgColor

That depends on the border type. You can create a new border instance and set it.
