Is it possible to disable AdMob advertising programatically?

I want to add an AdMob banner to my app, but remove (or suppress) it upon making an in-app purchase.

How can I achieve this?

Unfortunately that's not something that is easily circumvented at the moment since the AdMob code is deeply integrated into the implementation to make it seamless. It executes before any user logic is executed so the UI would actually take up less space.
