i have been using codenameone for sometime now. recently i had a project with the following requirements:

1. a client/server application

2. the client should be mobile app so used codenameone to develop the client on netbeans platform with java.

3. the server should be desktop swing application which i developed on netbeans also in java.

the purpose of this project is to enable a mobile client communicate with a server over TCP/IP which i accomplished using CN1Socket library.

and in a situation where there is no network for the client to communicate with the server app, the client should result to sending an SMS.

i know how to send an sms using codenameone.

BUT the PROBLEM is how do i check  so that if there is no network(connection to the server) on the device OR if the client cant find the server the client should send an SMS.

Thanks i will be happy if i can get a valuable response in time.

what's the problem? We have a send SMS API in the display class.
