Hi All, I am new to taurus and as of now trying to run my webdriverIO cases with taurus. My cases works fine when i run them directly from wdio (npx wdio run tests/conf/wdio.cuke.conf.js) but don't when i run from taurus.

The log says:

[2021-05-19 08:28:28,353 ERROR root] Child Process Error: Empty results, most likely wdio.cuke.conf.js (WebdriverIOExecutor) failed. Actual reason for this can be found in logs under /Users/ashishjindal/Projects/Learning/omnipotent/2021-05-19_08-28-20.067310

[2021-05-19 08:28:28,353 ERROR root] WebdriverIOExecutor STDOUT:

Execution of 0 spec files started at 2021-05-19T07:28:26.984Z

Spec Files: 0 passed, 0 total (0% completed) in 00:00:00

I have attached the bzt.log and screenshot of my taurus config file. Can someone please help with the error ?

Thanks - AJ

hello.
1. services.wdio.tools-dir isn't correct hierarchy as we have no wdio service.
2. could you provide the simplest possible js script to check the error?

Hi,

1. ah ok, i have updated but the still no success.
2. I have linked the code here (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1v6eFujgz5n6R264379NJUXejVxA0dekS?usp=sharing). If you just unzip it and following are the steps i run to reproduce:
npm i
npx wdio run wdio.conf.js --verbose
bzt wdio.yml --v

i have started the seeing error "@wdio/cli:launcher: No specs found to run, exiting with failure" but again not sure why this is coming as it is working fine directly with wdio.
Also just to add i am using wdio cucumber instead of mocha which i assume should be okay ?

Sorry, it won't be quickly. Hope I'll check it next month.

Hi AJ,

Currently, there's no JS developer in our team, so we've come to not a solution but to a possible cause of your problem. I assume you're right, suggesting that the problem could be in WDIO using Cucumber and not Mocha. Also, the problem may lie in our WDIO plugin, which could be slightly outdated. If you have any suggestions about how to improve our WDIO support, feel free to leave a pull request in our repository.

BR,
Alla
