Checking for updates shows screen errors on every test

Looks like your database is down. at https://gettaurus.org/updates/?version=1.16.3&installID=linux-xxxxxxx

This is showing erros on every test we run as you look for updates every run. This is a bug as this type of error shouldn't be showing.

I also think the collection of versions, platforms and install_IDs in the querystring is a bit shady. We do you need this information?
