Taurus requires the install of Visual C++ tools from the Visual Studio Community edition as part of the Taurus install. As a user of Taurus, do I need to comply with the license conditions of Visual Studio https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/license-terms/mlt031819/ ?

Or am I covered ,as a user of Taurus, in that it is Taurus making use of VC++ and Taurus are covered by the licence in that it is open-source code,

Hello,

Visual C++ is just a tool among other Taurus tools, so Taurus is not anyhow connected to their licenses.

Taurus requires a C++ compiler and you have to comply with the compiler toolchain license, whatever it is. If you cannot use MSVS community edition for any reason (i.e. if you're a corpo employee) - there is GCC MinGW compiler which can be used instead for installing Taurus and its dependencies.
