Dear all,

I would like to open this thread to validate the committer group by the PMC.

From the hedgedoc- here is the task at hand:
- [ ] 5. Decide on the Committers group
    - [ ] [December 2022] Create proposed list and contact people
    - [ ] [December 2022] send email to pmc about committers group to give one week to propose modifications

Initial list:

If you want to be deleted/added to the committer group, please answer this thread and we will discuss how to manage that.

Maybe we also need to discuss adding a code of conduct to the repository.

Please answer before January 5th, at this date we will validate the final list.

Happy new year!

Kind regards,
Morane Gruenpeter

This list looks good to me.

Also +1 to adding a Code of Conduct. The Contributor Covenant might be a good place to start, but happy to hear from others.

Morane --

That group looks fine as a starting point to me as well. I hope that over time others that have an active interest in CodeMeta will step up and help with the maintenance and development. Are there other folks from the CodeMeta task force that would make sense to nominate in this role, especially people that have outstanding PRs in the codemeta repo? @tmorrell and @dgarijo in particular have been consistent in making recommendations for improvements over time.

+1 from me as well for a Code of Conduct

Hello,
+1 to the list and code of conduct. I will be happy to help as a committer if you need an extra hand.
Best,

+1 on list, code-of-conduct, and increasing the 'bus'-number of maintainers!

+1 on the list and the code of conduct.  We just looked at codes of conduct for SciCodes and settled on a modified version of the Django CoC (https://www.djangoproject.com/conduct/), but contributor covenant looks fine too.  I’m also happy to help out as a committer if we feel more folks would be helpful.

Dear PMC,

Thank you for your replies and engagement!

We will move forward with your suggestion for the CoC and the committers group.

I have scheduled some time for me and Vlorentz to review the situation of the CodeMeta repository on Thursday (tomorrow).

We will get back to you with proposals and actions on Thursday or Friday.

Kind regards,
Morane
