FLASH! Updated Room Rates for CodeMash 2011!

I know the higher room prices for the CodeMash weekend (Friday and
Saturday) have given folks a bit of grief. The higher room rates are
simple supply and demand: that's the Martin Luther King holiday
weekend, and there's a high demand for rooms that weekend.

That said, I'd like to announce a bit of great news! We've worked with
the folks at the Kalahari to get a break for room rates on Friday and
Saturday nights for CodeMash 2011.

Early bird reservations made before 10/31/2010 will receive the Tues -
Thurs rate for Friday night only. The Saturday night rate would
increase by $30. Prices will look like this:

EARLY BIRD (reserve by 10/31/2010)
Tuesday 1/11/2011 - Friday 1/14/2011
* Hut (standard room) : $88
* African Queen suite : $162
* Combo suite : $162
* Village suite : $262

Saturday 1/15/2011
-Standard Guest Rooms: $118
-African Queen Suites: $192
-Combination Suites: $192
-Village Suites: $292


If reservations are made after 10/31/2010, the Friday and Saturday
night rates would increase by $30 as follows:
NON-EARLY BIRD (after 10/31/2010)
Tuesday 1/11/2011 - Thursday 1/13/2011
* Hut (standard room) : $88
* African Queen suite : $162
* Combo suite : $162
* Village suite : $262

Friday 1/14/2010 - Saturday 1/15/2011
-Standard Guest Rooms: $118
-African Queen Suites: $192
-Combination Suites: $192
-Village Suites: $292


Hopefully this makes folks a bit more interested in staying over the
weekend after CodeMash and enjoying the Kalahari!

Yes.  In all of the past years, every room provided up to 4 water park passes (i.e. good for 4 people over the course of your stay).

At least 4 tickets. Each room was allowed X number of tickets where X
was (I believe) the maximum occupancy.

For example, the hut allows 4 people and provides 4 tickets. I think
we stayed in a combo suite last year and received 10 or 12 tickets.

If needed, you can easily round up extra bands from CodeMash folks who
have extras, too.

Just got my confirmation email from the Kalahari, and I didn't get the
$88 rate on Friday, and got regular rate on Saturday (which they told
me on phone). Was there a limited number of rooms for Friday at the
$88 rate? How about Saturday?
