User Group Open Spaces at CodeMash

Hi all,

A lot of user group leaders (from various parts of the country) will be at CodeMash.  In an attempt to bring together all of the great ideas that come from all of the different user groups, I'll propose an open spaces session on user groups.  The discussion will take on a life based on the participants, but some of the issues I think might be interesting are:
How to start one
How to revive one
Essential components
Attracting speakers
Giveaways
Dues
Communication with members

You get the idea.  So if you're interested, watch the open spaces board for a time/place for this discussion.

Open Spaces are both Thursday and Friday (all day during the sessions).

Please don't schedule it during the vendor sessions though.  I want to attend the SRT MobiMash presentation on Friday and obviously I have to be there for the Stout SmackDown which is Thursday.

Exactly!  I want to add more Software Development Study Groups to the area next year, so I want to talk about that a bit as well and even think about how User Groups and Study Groups could compliment each other.
