Hotel Room Prices Expiration Date

Important note on room pricing: The rates quoted in another message in
this group EXPIRE on 13 December. If rooms are available they'll be at
a good rate, not just as good as the rates you get now.

For example, Huts will be $92 instead of $88.

Perhaps even more importantly, the reserved block of rooms will be
released at that date, meaning you may have a hard time getting a room
at all if you wait too long. The Kalahari sold out a couple nights
last year during CodeMash -- the first time they'd ever done that.

Please take this in to account as you're making your plans!

I just called Kalahari.

Hut/Run of House        $88
Lodge                   $98 (Not Available)
African Queen           $162
Combo Suite             $162 (Not Available)
Village Suite           $262 (Not Available)

So the only rooms available are the Hut and African Queen.

I wanted to get a combo or village suite, but it was a no go.  I don't know how many of those were available.

If you are willing to jump rooms to get a combo or village, it's the 14th (Thursday) which they have problems with availability.

I was able to get a Lodge room within a week after registration
opened, it just wasn't in the block of CodeMash rooms. Still got the
same pricing through.

I called and made my reservation last week and needed a room with
occupancy for 5 (and didn't want to spring for the suite). They gave
me a desert room for the same $88 price (plus $20 for the 5th guest).

A few days ago, Kalahari told me I booked the last Nomad room
available Wednesday - Friday. A little disappointing that we could
not get a Lodge room, but I guess I should have booked a lot earlier!
