Branching Codelab Progression logic?

Hi everyone! Have we ever seen requests for branching codelab progression logic? 

I.E. Let's say I have PM's and ENG going through a tutorial, and I want them to self-select themselves and get a different branched experience inside the same codelab. A Y-shaped split. 

Currently I just have ##headers that say "FOR X GO HERE" but that's clunky. 

Has this ever been considered? :)
