Measuring Codelabs activity in Google Analytics 4

Hi,

Has anyone been able to implement Google Analytics 4 tracking on Codelabs without having to manually insert the Google tag in each index.html? I included the Measurement ID in the Analytics Account row in the Google Docs template but I am not seeing any metrics after 48 hours. 

I'll appreciate any tips if someone has managed to implement this with claat.

It seems there's a work in progress to add GA4: https://github.com/googlecodelabs/tools/commit/4c98edf2e6e50c0687a4cf56ea204232746a92be

as workaround I'm adding the GA4 script manually to all codelabs.
