[CB22] Initial list of speakers for CODE BLUE 2022.

Hello All,

Thank you for your continued support for CODE BLUE.

We are introducing an initial list of speakers for CODE BLUE 2022. 

First, German cryptography expert Karsten Nohl who will be presenting on "Tales of 5G Hacking". Karsten has presented security topics at international conferences such as "Hacking Mobile SIM Cards (2013) and BAD USB (2014), which involves tampering and exploiting the firmware of USB drives. Karsten was a keynote speaker at CODE BLUE in 2016.

Karsten's talk will dive into 5G since in the future it will be a crucial part of society's infrastructure. This presentation will introduce the possibility of hacking into open networks used for 5G network infrastructure and discuss security issues from testing this infrastructure. We are really look forward to his presentation!

Next, Orange Tsai will be presenting on “Let's Dance in the Cache - Destabilizing Hash Table on Microsoft IIS!”. Orange is a well-known researcher from Taiwan and who has presented at Code Blue, DEFCON, and many other conferences. In this presentation, Orange will introduce a vulnerability in the Microsoft IIS server and explain the attack technique.

Last of the initial speakers, Takahiro Haruyama will present "Tracking the Entire Iceberg - Long-term APT Malware C2 Protocol Emulation and Scanning. Malware C2 Protocol Emulation and Scanning". The subject is the analysis of malware used by cybercriminal organizations via a unique technique of emulating C2 protocols.

9月2日、CODE BLUE実行委員会はCODE BLUE 2022の講演者リストの一部を先行して発表しました。注目講演の1つは、ドイツの暗号専門家であるカールステン・ノール氏による「5Gネットワークのハッキング（Tales of 5G Hacking）」です。ノール氏はこれまでも国際会議で「携帯SIMカードのハッキング（2013年）」や「USBメモリのファームウェアを改ざん・悪用するBAD USB（2014年）」といったセキュリティに関するトピックを発表しています。CODE BLUEにおいても、2016年に基調講演者として登壇しています。

5Gは大容量・低遅延・多数同時接続といった特徴を持ち、今後のIT社会を支える重要な基盤の1つです。一方、5Gモバイルネットワークのインフラ構築においては、オープンなシステムやクラウド技術の利用が進んでいます。講演ではこうしたオープンネットワークへのハッキングの可能性を掘り下げるとともに、実際のネットワークで発見された脆弱性を用いたセキュリティ上の課題について解説していきます。

また、台湾のセキュリティ研究者であるオレンジ・ツァイ（Orange Tsai）氏による「キャッシュと踊ろう–Microsft IIS ハッシュテーブルへの攻撃（Let's Dance in the Cache - Destabilizing Hash Table on Microsoft IIS!）–」も発表となりました。講演ではツァイ氏が新たに発見したMicrosoft IISサーバーの脆弱性の紹介とその攻撃手法が解説されます。

他にも、VMware社の春山敬宏氏は「氷山全体を追跡する– 長期にわたるAPTマルウェア C2プロトコルのエミュレーションとスキャニング–（Tracking the Entire Iceberg - Long-term APT Malware C2 Protocol Emulation and Scanning）」と題する講演を行います。主題はサイバー犯罪者組織が使用しているマルウェアの解析ですが、C2（Command ＆ Control：指令・制御）プロトコルのエミュレートという独自の手法が採られている点に特徴があります。

CODE BLUE 2022では今後も講演内容の発表を予定しています。
