Hi folks,

If you're interested in supporting the use of open source software in San Francisco government, the San Francisco Elections Commission will be discussing open source voting systems at its regular monthly meeting next Wednesday, June 17 at 6pm in Room 408 of SF City Hall:

Specifically, the Commission will be discussing the idea of SF building and certifying its own open source voting system for use in SF elections.  This is an idea that the SF Board of Supervisors passed a resolution in support of this past December 2014.  A draft report on this topic was released last month.

At next week's meeting, you can speak during public comment on the agenda item, or simply watch.  The item should be over in time for you to walk over to civic hack night at Code for SF afterwards.

If you have any questions about the above or want more information, feel free to e-mail me back.

Thanks!
--Chris
