The City of Philadelphia’s Office of New Urban Mechanics, GoodCompany Group, and the Wharton Social Impact Initiative have joined forces to innovate in the public safety arena. This spring, they'll kick off an accelerator designed to spur the growth of early stage, market-based ventures with innovative approaches to issues such as recidivism, network analytics, neighborhood surveillance, and vacant land, among others. The top 10 applicants will receive a $10,000 stipend, an opportunity to refine their business models with subject matter experts and strategy and finance consultants from Wharton, inclusion in a synergistic cohort of world-class entrepreneurs, and access to pilot projects directly with the City of Philadelphia.

Applications will be open until January 22nd; information about how to apply can be found here www.fast-fwd.org

Here's a press release providing some further detail http://tinyurl.com/k8ynsme and an article in Forbes that just ran:http://www.forbes.com/sites/annefield/2014/01/05/phillys-super-group-startup-accelerator-targets-urban-problems/

Thanks very much for your time and consideration!
