Thanks to everyone for singing up for our new Google Group! I'm
looking forward to some lively discussions!

I'd like to ask everyone who has attended last night's meeting for
some feedback regarding the format of the evening.

While I'm sure that everyone will agree that the open source cupcakes
were delicious, I'd like to know how you felt about pairing up and
working on a ruby problem. How did it go? Did you learn anything
new? Would you like to do it again?

Hopefully the format of these games will help us get comfortable with
TDD. I'm working on a blog post to explain unit testing. Talking
about it last night was helpful to me to gather my thoughts, but if it
was simply confusing for you I encourage you to check out the blog
post when its completed and/or read the Ruby Guides (http://
guides.rubyonrails.org/testing.html). No worries, there will be much
more on this topic in future meetings.

I'd also like to encourage *everyone* to think about presenting new
topics or personal projects. Since this is a group for ruby newbies,
everyone is qualified to speak! Learn something new this month?
Please share it with the group!

Last night, I also mentioned working on our own OSCC website. I'm
going to start a separate discussion thread to work out the details
for that.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and I look forward to seeing everyone next
month!
