in case this has not been publicised on this group
network I have included below a link to a story about product 1001 from the
coconut palm.
It seems that off the beaches of Bali in Indonesia
many half-shells of coconut find their way to the ocean floow. There is a local
species of small octopus that has begun to make us of the coconut shell as a
protective shield. When not feeling threatened the octopus picks up the shell
and carries at around ready for the next threat. There is a wonderful video

The Australian discoverers of this coconut action
are astounded at the ability of the octopus to make use of the coconut shell as
a protective tool.
