How to control monkey pest

Could anyone share on how to control/trap monkey that disturb our
coconut plantation on the safe ways.

A similar problem was voiced on PestNet some years ago, but perhaps for a different crop. Not all the suggestions were practical ...........

An air rifle which only stings but does not do damage, normally does the trick.  If one or other monkey gets a sting, they associate the "phut" sound of the air rifle with danger, and the mere firing of a blank in the air, sends them scurrying.

Do you have other method besides using an air rifle? because a lot of our farmer not really convenient to use air rifle.

Dear Dr. David,
I heard that if you make a statue of a tiger and arrange to produce recorded sounds of tiger at intervals , it can scare away monkeys. This is to be tested
