Dear All,

Please help for several question below:

Does anybody know how much is average moisture of coconut meat?
Does anybody know how much is average weight of copra with 0% water content?

If I want to make copra with moisture below than 5% and fat content is higher than 70% how to do that? and how many Kilogram of mature coconut is needed to produce 1 KG of copra with that specification?

Please for help and advice,

Thanks for your attention,
Regards,
Anton

I'll try to answer questions liu mr anton
according to my personal experience
- 1 kg of copra requires 3.5 to 4 coconut
- To achieve a moisture content below 5% then it should be put into the oven for 24 hours with tempratur 40 to 50 degrees Celsius
thank you

I have slightly different estimates,

in the Pacific you need 6 coconuts for one kg of copra of below 4% moisture

I think so... here in the Philippines you'll need at least 5 - 6 coconuts to produce 1 kilo copra with a moisture of below 5%. For a regular copra with a moisture of more than 7% you'll need at least 4 coconuts.
