Good morning everybody. Today is the forth day of our work. We propose the following topics of the day:

  • Create a UML schema for every WP taking into account the GIS layer schema in the GIS workshop report
  • Integrate INSPIRE directive revising the Annex I, II, III and evaluate possible themes structure useful for COCONET

Please take into account that we will continue UML discussions on yesterdays topic. This topic is for INSPIRE themes discussion only!

As it was proposed during the previous workshop we have to discuss the structure of some of the data themes of INSPIRE (Annex I-II- III) in order to follow as much as possible the European directive for some of the GIS layers:

• INSPIRE Annex I for Geographical grid system, Hydrography and Protected sites
• INSPIRE Annex II for Elevation and Ortho imagery
• INSPIRE Annex III for Oceanographic geographical features, Sea regions, habitat, biotopes, Environmental monitoring facilities, Meteorological geographical features, Species distribution.

The first theme to discuss is Geographical grid system (page 20-23 of the Definition of Annex Themes and Scope)

and INSPIRE specification for the spatial data theme Geographical Grid Systems (thanks to Alessandro Sarretta)

Please feel free to add your proposals concerning other INSPIRE themes.

Richard

Dear all,
regarding grid and coordinate reference systems, please have a look in general at chapter 6.1 in all Data Specifications document.
In particular I remember that there are theme-specific recommendations in "Statistical Units" (par. 6.3) and more extensively in "Elevation" (par. 6.1 and 6.2).
Ale
