Othersolutions are equally possible (for example, using more advanced micro-economics books), especially for students having an appropriate mathematical background. A main suggestion is: Jehle G. A. and Reny P. J. (2011) Advanced Microeconomic Theory (3rd ed.), Pearson.
At the end of the course (February), students will be assigned a written exam (closed book) featuring groups of microeconomic exercises and models similar to those presented during classes (100%) in the five teaching blocks. Students that will not pass the exam will resit it later in the year: the resit will be a closed-book written exam.
Reading: understanding one or more passages of a certain complexity. Sentence and/or table completion, true/false questions, multiple choice answers, open/closed questions, producing appropriate sentences (40 marks).
Presentation: each student gives a presentation (lasting 5-7 minutes) prepared in advance using slides and based on the topics in the course books, Cambridge Academic English Intermediate and Career Express B2. The other students must follow the speaker's presentation.
Both mid term and final year exam syllabuses are the same for attending and not attending students. Limited validity for all tests.

Listening to writing: descrizioni, informazioni, opinioni espresse con una certa ampiezza, a velocit naturale e con rumore di fondo. Sintesi del passaggio ed elaborazione di un testo con contenuti attinenti ad esso (15 punti).

Preparation Course for Business English Certificate Higher Cambridge University ESOL Examinations.
The course is designed for students who already have a strong B2 level. In terms of linguistic competence, the final objective corresponds to that established by the Council of Europe for level C1. The objects for the students can be summarized in the following way
Instruction focuses on preparing the students to take and pass the Cambridge English: BEC Higher. Students are introduced to the format of the certification, and all four sections of the certification are practiced.
