Markdown in OS X Mail. Automator Encoding Error

Hey Cocoaheads,

I’m trying to get markdown working in the OS X Mail.app. I got it working, but it replaces the clipboard content. (Getting RTF output from an automator service it not particular easy).  I’m trying to make it so it does not replace the clipboard content, but have encoding problems. Getting the A with the hat on it in the output.

If anyone has an idea of how to fix it I would love it.

The automator workflow is on my github. Take a look at md-to-rtf-test.workflow.

Prerequisite: $ brew install multi markdown

Correction - the prereq is $ brew install multimarkdown (thanks for nothing autocomplete =P).
