Thanks, but I headed home (fortunately just a few minutes away, and
this location is halfway between my home and work, so no big deal).
Neither "upstairs" nor "Oracle Auditorium" seem like helpful landmarks
after my experience there, though. I did end up getting into a
building via the service entrance, but it was 2, not 3, and I didn't
know if/how I could have made the transition once inside. A little
more directional help for newcomers would be appreciated in the
future. :-D

The building number was on the manifest, but that wasn't enough
information. I knew to expect this:
"The building's doors are locked at 6:00, so if we plan on starting by
then, one of us can "stand guard" for a few minutes to let in
stragglers."
...but I didn't know where to look for said guard. I was at the front
of the building just before 6:00 and didn't see a gathering of people
like I sort of anticipated.
