We have a different type of presentation scheduled for our next
CocoaHeads meeting. Jeff Norris will offer his insights into, "Mobile
Web vs Native Apps: Where is the industry going and why?"

In Jeff's words, "Mobile Web and Native applications are in a battle
to see who will control the future of phones. Both techniques have
serious advantages and disadvantages ranging from performance,
licensing, usability, discoverability, to availability of skilled
developers. This battle is far from over, but we will discuss where
industry is now, why they are there, and makes some predictions about
where the industry may go. Expect a lively discussion, because I
expect the audience to be split on which side they think will win."

Jeff Norris is a principal consultant at ThoughtWorks. He is
passionate about technology and helping people develop software
better. He is currently the tech lead on ThoughtWorks’ longest
running project and technical assistant to the CTO. He provides
leverage for the CTO and the ThoughtWorks Technical Advisory Board
(TAB), a group of senior technologists around the world. Their work
is regularly published in the Technology Radar at http://www.thoughtworks.com/radar

He has worked at companies ranging in size from startup to Fortune 500
and projects ranging from internal applications, to cloud computing,
to mobile applications, to commercial software. Jeff has seen how the
right technology and the right people can make all the difference.
