Thanks for the post. I really like the idea of auto-generating the
glue-code. Nothing is impossible :)

Might have to play with that idea a little as a side project.

Stuart,

we're doing a little bit of this in our new Cocoa# support in Chrome
(our Object Pascal language for Mono and .NET, http://remobjects.com/chrome).
Basically, we've got a custom tool that generates partial classes,
fields and event handers based on inf parsed from the classes.nib
file; those can then be used from a user-written partial.

We shipped first preview of that in our version 2.0.3 yesterday, and
i'm planning to blog about this in some detail and with steps, later
this week (my first blog on our Cocoa# support, which doesn't yet
mention the codegen is at http://lnk2.de/c).
