Is there way to use COBRA Toolbox with Octave instead of Matlab, in Linux? If so, can you post a step by step guide of how to set it up, and what's required?
Thanks in advance.

As far as I know this is not completely possible, I mean is not a straight forward process, given that octave and cobra differ in their underlying architecture. I used to use an "octave" cobra version that was tuned for a workshop here in my country, but it was long ago and only for a small set of functions. Perhaps this is a good opportunity to ask Dr. Fleming (now new lead cobra developer) about his opinion on this topic (i.e. Cobra for python would cover this? ), I really think that having such a version would be very helpful for those of us having licensing or "open source software" issues.

Regards,

Hi All,
I'm open to the idea of someone making an octave version of the cobra toolbox available in parallel to the matlab version. However, someone else would have to do it and also maintain it.
Regards,
Ronan
