Our party started off with drinks and sodas, and the table was quickly supplied with nacho chips, salsa and coleslaw (a new accompaniment for me in a Mexican restaurant) while we looked over the menu.
Street tacos differ from regular tacos because they come without all of the standard garnishes, like tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. Instead, they are served in soft tortillas and are simply dressed with chopped onion, cilantro and lime, allowing the meats to be the stars of the show.
Others in our party sampled main plates of Arroz Con Pollo (chicken with rice) and Carnitas (marinated pork chunks), the latter of which was served with refried beans, rice, a house salad and tortillas. The kids sampled quesadillas.
