Rufous-necked Wood-Rail 24-hr road trip - passengers wanted

OK, crazy birders: I am hatching a wild plan to depart Fort Collins Friday about 9 pm in my birding van (complete with a bed in the back for napping passengers), arriving at Bosque del Apache NWR in New Mexico at 6 am to spend the morning looking for this incredible (and so far, cooperative) vagrant.
