In the back area towards the river on the western edge, there was a Rose-breasted Grosbeak singing in the trees. The Boulder Bird Club was unable to see it amongst the greenery in the high trees, but it was doing a lot of singing. The water levels were very high and shorebirds and waterfowl were somewhat hard to come by. A lovely day and a delightful walk, despite having to get soakers in the water crossing the trails. (I initially wrote this uncaffeinated and erred in the name, red instead of rose).
