Swallow-Tailed Kite, Prowers County

I’m posting this on behalf of a friend of mine, Jeffrey Wang, who is not on this list. He did however, post on eBird this afternoon.

 

Today in Lamar, I was watching multiple Mississippi kites flying above the park and scanning each and was shocked to see one was actually a swallow-tailed kite. It did a couple of loops near the south end of the park and then flew off to the south.  Location was: Willow Creek Park, Lamar, Prowers County.
