To my amazement yesterday, I believe I may have observed a female Vermilion Flycatcher at Belmar Park in Lakewood, CO. It was feeding on insects in the typical flycatcher manner, flying from and returning to a branch with it's catch. I am open to hear what else folks may think of this bird as I'm still scratching my head.

I have posted seven pics of this bird that I have presently labeled in the gallery as Unknown Flycatcher to:

Great find, Rob. Definitely a Vermilion Flycatcher. A drab first spring female.

Thanks for all the responses and emails! For those of you who asked, the two females were seen feeding along the small drainage that leads south from Kountze Lake.
Hope they found refuge during the storm! Looking forward to hearing if they are still around.
