A good day to be at the ranch. There were more Western Wood-pewees singing, Yellow Warblers, Indigo and Lazuli Buntings chipping and singing early in the morning. It is nice to hear the sounds of spring! It was also a good banding day as well with 18 bird species banded including one new species for the season: female Black-throated Gray Warbler.

Enjoy the days Spring! The banding station will be closed tomorrow (Sunday) and will reopen on Monday at Sunrise.

***If wanting to visit Chico Basin, it is open to a limited number of people each day during this month. Please go to the Aiken Audubon Website to register for a morning to visit. There is a daily registration fee.
