Hello all,
This morning (June 22) I drove the Castlewood Canyon Road (Douglas County Rd. 51) from the south end of Castlewood State Park to Lake Gulch Road and back. There were six singing Dickcissels and 2 singing Bobolinks along the road. They were on the east side of the road, in a section about one mile long from the entrance to the Winkler Ranch south to about bluebird box #9. They were generally well away from the road, and so were difficult to see, although I did see Dickcissels through the scope. But they were easy to pick out by sound, especially the Dickcissels.
