At 1:40 the scissor-tailed flycatcher was on the north side of the road, east of the Lake loop, low in a field.  It was directly opposite the parking lot which is on the south side of the road east of the Lake Loop.  Then came the downpour.

To add to Loch's comments: Many hundreds of sparrows, esp many hundreds of chippings; lots of lark sparrows.  A few Cassin's kingbirds were present besides the dozens of westerns.  Another birder/photographer showed me his Bulllock's oriole photo. At least one lark bunting there...I didn't see it.

When I arrived home, both white-crowned and Brewer's sparrows were in the back yard.

Both of my wren houses have occupants building.

Red-breasted nuthatches and bushtits are still here, so that they are likely nesting.
