It was nice to have a somewhat cooler morning!  Banding continued at a good pace; 60 new birds and a greater number of species mixed in with the Yellow and Wilson's Warblers:

Downy Woodpecker 1
Western Wood-pewee 1
Willow Flycatcher 1
Cordilleran Flycatcher 2
House Wren 3
Swainson's Thrush 1
Yellow Warbler 22 new, 1 banded 2018
American Redstart 1
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 2
Wilson's Warbler 15
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Chipping Sparrow 1
Clay-colored Sparrow 2
Song Sparrow 4
Lazuli Bunting 1 (hatch year)

We are open 6 days per week, Tuesday-Sunday, weather permitting, through October 13. We are opening nets at 6:40 and should have birds back at the station by 7:20. We will close nets most days at 11:40, with some being closed earlier as long as this heat continues. School groups arrive most weekdays at about 9:30. The best time to visit (fewest people, most birds) is before 9:30 weekdays and Sundays.

Come visit!
