A flock of about 120 Sandhill Cranes just flew over the west side of Longmont headed south toward Niwot.

Must be October!

Perhaps the same flock passed just west of Superior about 1:10.  It's kind of funny that we might be tracking these birds more or less in real time across Boulder County!

Thanks, Scott! they just passed over Gunbarrel, heading south. A bird watcher can't ask for a better birthday gift.

I saw five cranes about 15 minutes ago, high over Louisville at about the Aquarius trailhead, spiraling up up and away to the southwest.  Too high and far to hear them over traffic if they were calling, and not 120, but I'll take it!  Thanks to the earlier posts, I was paying attention.

Hi All,

I had a perfect chevron of about 40 cranes heading south over North Boulder around 3 pm. It was great to hear the calls  high over Boulder.
