Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, Chatfield Banding Station - May 5, 2023

A slower day today, with both fewer birds and fewer species.  We stayed busy sharing information with first a Community College of Denver class, then an OLLI beginning birdwatching class, and finally 3rd graders from Peiffer Elementary.  (Whew!)

Here's the breakdown for the day:

We will be banding mornings Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays) through May 31.  Denver Audubon has scheduled one-hour time slots at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 for visitors on weekends; visit here to register.  (I believe many time slots are already sold out, so register soon if you would like to visit.)
