Northern Goshawk / Boulder County

At nearly the exact location as the gps coordinates previously posted for

the Cassin's Sparrow, live some friends of mine.  It's a townhome complex

that's pretty much overrun with rabbits.

 

Just the other day, my friend took a photo of a hawk in his back yard,

enjoying a rabbit for breakfast, and sent it to me for identification.  A

Juvenile Goshawk!  Nice sighting for one's backyard.

 

For any who are heading for that area for the Sparrow, keep your eyes

peeled for raptors.
