There was a singing Clay-colored Sparrow near the tent sites this morning. It was flagged when I ebirded my checklist for the morning so I thought I would pass it along to CObirds as well.
Good birding,

Correction!
After having a little coffee and listening to some spizella recordings online, I'm thinking it is much more likely that the 1 and 2 note calls I heard were actually the very rapid/buzzy calls of a CHIPPING SPARROW, not Clay-colored.
I'd never heard single note calls from Clay-colored (just 2 note), nor 2 note calls from Chipping (2 birds perhaps?).
My apologies for the false alarm! :-)
