I have visited Dixon Reservoir in west Fort Collins several times this week.  The highlights have been:

Evening Grosbeak (1)
Hermit Thrush (1)

Black-headed (which would be late) or Rose-breasted Grosbeak (which would be “out of place”ish)

I only got a glance of this bird, a female, and the line above the eye was very bright, and the “chink” call had a “metallic” character, which seem to lean to Rose-breasted.  I have not photos, however, so I can’t really say with any confidence which it was.

Northern Pygmy-Owl (1, holding prey)

Townsend’s Solitaire (1)

Others include:

Gray Catbird

Ruby-crowned Kinglet

Orange-crowned Warbler

Yellow-rumped Warbler

White-crowned Sparrow

Lincoln’s Sparrow

Dark-eyed Junco

I put a few photos of the Northern Pygmy-Owl and the Evening Grosbeak at the link below.  I only saw the Northern Pygmy-Owl’s lower half, as it was perched behind a branch, except for a brief moment that it looked at me.  The photos only show the lower half and the prey (mouse/vole?).  The photos of the Evening Grosbeak are blurry, unfortunately, but sufficient to confirm.
