Lagerman Reservoir, Longmont, Boulder Co, Help - Are these Ruddy Ducks?

Greetings

I'm looking for assistance in confirming some ducks seen resting near the SE shore of Lagerman Res on Friday afternoon. I returned yesterday (Saturday) in hopes of getting better photos but they were gone. The stiff tail and 

distinctive head markings tell me they are female ruddy ducks but I could use some expert assistance to confirm. We are in there general range but I don't normally see them here in the Boulder/Longmont area. These two photos are the best I could do at the time.
