Lewis's WPs Back at Turkey Creek Ranch, El Paso County

Hi, Cobirders.

 

Sorry for the late post, but I had some email problems last night.

 

Yesterday, 9/9, we were at Turkey Creek Ranch (on Fort Carson military reservation) off CO Hwy 115 in El Paso county.

 

On a visit there six weeks ago, we saw NO Lewis’s Woodpeckers. Yesterday in 3 hours of walking around we saw a dozen or more! Another surprise for us was a Clark’s Nutcracker. We had only seen one at TCR once before.
