With a nicer weather window overnight, it seems that many of
the birds that stopped by yesterday may have taken off. Overall, an average day
for us this season with 14 netted birds, but nearly half of what we saw
yesterday. We had two new species to bring our total up to 20: Lazuli Bunting
and Red-shafted Northern Flicker.
12 Newly Banded Birds:
MacGillivray’s Warbler: 1
Song Sparrow: 3
Wilson’s Warbler: 4
Yellow Warbler: 2
Lazuli Bunting: 1
Red-shafted Flicker: 1
2 Recaptured Birds
Gray Catbird: 1
Northern House Wren: 1
