Good evening to all!
I want to invite you to attend an inaugural birding and nature
festival which will be happening in Colorado Springs over the second
weekend of May: the Pikes Peak Birding & Nature Festival. Aiken
Audubon is one of the founding festival partners for this event, which
has been 2 years in the making.
Some details:
Dates: Friday, May 8 through Sunday, May 10
Where: Various locations in and around Colorado Springs, including
Fountain Creek Nature Center, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Colorado Springs
Fine Arts Center, Pinello Ranch, Chico Basin Ranch, Pikes Peak Highway
and Pikes Peak Community College
Who: Anyone interested in birding, nature - all ages, all skill levels
What: Field trips, seminars.
Noted Speakers/Presenters: Ted Floyd (keynote speaker) Saturday night
banquet; also Dr. Brian Linkhard (flammulated owl researcher) and Eric
Eaton (principal author of the Kaufman Field Guide to Insects of North
America).
