Unlike Chico, our numbers are not picking up; only 22 birds banded today.  Nine of those were caught in our second run of the morning, which included our first Green-tailed Towhee and White-crowned Sparrow, and I thought we were in for a bigger day, but no.......  Here are the 22 new birds:

Western Wood-Pewee 1
Warbling Vireo 1
House Wren 2
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Wilson's Warbler 14
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Song Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 1

We are open 6 days a week, weather permitting through October 23.  Closed Mondays.  Click here to register to visit - we are offering one-hour slots (up to 12 visitors at a time); 7:30-8:30 most weekdays, and 8-9, 9-10, and 10-11 on weekends.  We look forward to seeing many of you during the season!
