Folks- my buddy John Barr just sent me a pic of a Northern Parula that he found in the same tree as the long-staying Bay-breasted Warbler in Boulder (which he also saw today.) The Nov. warbler parade continues!!

Enjoy- Bill Schmoket, Longmont

Good morning,

The Northern Parula is present this morning along with the Bay-breasted Warbler....along with a tree full of about a million aphids.

Thank you to Dave Leatherman for so much aphid insight regarding these fabulous birds.

Ha! I feel compelled to note the following:

Yesterday morning, Saturday, 11/16, as a throng of us were leaving the Bay-breasted tree, Christian Nunes said something like, "Um, I think I glimpsed a parula in there, too." We were in a rush (CFO BoD mtg, well, okay, a report of a scoter elsewhere in the county), and couldn't linger, but, Christian, you were eivdently spot-on.

(Just so that none of yesterday's oglers get paranoid: Yes, the Bay-breast was definitely in there, too.)

Best, --Ted
