Around 9:30 a.m., 14APR2015, Jane Stulp and I re-found the Common Black-Hawk at Cottonwood Canyon. The bird was first seen by us flying east down the canyon from the old homestead area toward the east picnic and parking lot area. Shortly thereafter, it was being hassled by two adult Red-tailed Hawks north of the picnic area/parking lot and the three continued to fly northeast. We could not find the three birds again. Thanks to Brian Gibbons and Michael O'Brien for the "heads-up" on this bird. Photos of the hawk and lists of birds seen on this trip can be found on eBirds.
