I went to Harriman after receiving a call from Tom Behnfield regarding the Black-throated Gray Warbler. I didn't arrive until 630 to find a quiet woods. I started walking west when I was able to find the BTGW working his way to the west along with many warblers. He finally went to the Southwest boundary of the park with a large group of warblers including a Northern Parula. Most of the flock started to head back east toward the original sightings but I was never able to re-locate the Black-throated Gray or Northern Parula. They may have continued SW into the adjacent neighborhood. Birds I had in a half hour included:
Yellow-rumped Warbler--many
Black-throated Gray Warbler--1
Orange-crowned Warbler--1
Yellow Warbler--5
Northern Parula--1
Western Wood Peewee--1
Black-headed Grosbeak--1
Western Tanager--1
