Hi all

In ‘shirt sleeve weather’, amid the water, slush and mud, Carbondale Nature Park was relatively deserted of dogs and walkers this early afternoon. I stayed nearly 3 hours.

After giving up on seeing them today, it was only then that I eventually found the five RUSTY BLACKBIRDS – today in the fenced off old trees at the North end of the park, tho’ after a while they flew off NE and out of view behind the trees.

Other highlights included

6+ Brewer’s Blackbirds – with the Eurasian Starlings and crow flock around the cattle

4 Wilson’s Snipe together

200 or so American Crows

1 Red-tailed Hawk

Nearby, in town, at Centennial Park, the RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was again in its usual tree at the extreme west end of the park

On the Roaring Fork river, just two (a displaying pair) BARROW’S GOLDENEYES were downstream of the Catherine Store Road bridge. Have seen up to 25 there recently

Good birding all

Best regards
